![]() ![]() On the Shelf, expand the Front Panels category. To install the front panel device, switch to the drive bays view on the computer. Repeat step 14 to connect the CPU power cable. In the Selected Component window, select the motherboard power connector and drag it to the port on the motherboard. The available connectors are shown in the Selected Component window. To connect the power cables to the motherboard, select the power supply. Repeat step 11 until all case connectors are connected to the motherboard. If necessary, zoom in to get a closer view of the motherboard. In the Selected Component window, drag the connector to the port location on the motherboard. To connect system case connectors, select the system case in the Partial Connections list. CPU power - USB connector - Firewire connector - Front panel audio 10. Click the Specifications tab and read the documentation to identify the location for the following connectors: - Power switch - Power LED - Case speaker - HDD LED - Front fan -Rear fan - Main motherboard power. To identify the location of motherboard connectors, click the Details link for the motherboard in the Selected Component window. Drag the motherboard from the Shelf to the motherboard plate in the system case. When you have found the motherboard that meets the scenario requirements, switch to the motherboard view on the computer. Repeat steps 2 through 4 to identify the features for each available motherboard. Read the motherboard documentation and complete the table in the scenario to identify the supported features. Click the Details link for the first motherboard. On the Shelf, expand the Motherboards category. Explanation Complete the following steps: 1. Do not connect the blue (4-pin) Firewire connector. Connect the red (6-pin) Firewire connector to the motherboard. Connect the audio cable to the motherboard. Connect the USB cable to the motherboard. Install the front panel device in an external bay.
